Hello everyone ,

Hello everyone , 

How has life been treating you ?

These are difficult  times, with the endless lockdowns and so much anxiety  about the future, most of us are emotionally, financially and physically being affected.  
I believe by bringing some control back in our lives we may feel better at handling the uncertainties of our present situation.
Try to set goals for yourself no matter how small.
The act of trying to reach these goals gives us a sense of purpose and control over what we choose to accomplish personally.  
This month I set my target goal of raising $500 for the Fred Hollows Foundation. It is a wonderful charity that restores sight to those vulnerable individuals less fortunate than us.Without the aid of this foundation many would lead a life in  darkness and misery. 
My grandmother became  blind due to Diabetes and to see her suffer and struggle to adapt with the loss of her sight was very sad and left a lasting impression on me.
So with the last lock down we had here in South Australia i decided it was time for me to start setting personal goals for myself so I decided to lace up and pledge to run 150 km in August for the Fred Hollows Foundation. The second goal was to attempt running a marathon in less than 6 weeks of training! Not one of my brightest ideas!
 😄
But guess what I did it ! I accomplished both in fact my target goal to raise money i surpassed that🤸‍♀️ and smashed  more than 200km🏃‍♀️ of running in August. Believe me It was a tiring few weeks, working full time in two jobs and a demanding family too attend. I did feel I had taken on quite a heavy load but I believe being a little uncomfortable in life is good for the soul ! 🙃
So i am asking YOU, 👩👦if your able to, what is stopping YOU🧐 from setting a personal goal? To raise that bar a little higher🥵 just enough for you  to extend beyond your existing comfort level. What you gain is more than you could ever imagine !😃 You  learn about yourself which builds traits like  tenacity, patience and resilience and boy will you grow and become a stronger version of yourself.  👧👦
Yes its definitely hard to start but once you do you will never look back ! 👊
